on Netflix Instant, a fantastic and pretty comprehensive 96 minute documentary on the history of Bond (you get a lot from Ian Fleming and how he wrote the book and his wanting to but not able to make a movie initially) and how it became a movie (the Broccoli family being there from the beginning and still to today) and how it has stood the test of time even though controversy (Connery being pissed off to hating Broccoli at the end, to getting fired then brought back for one) and even controversy i never knew of (Kevin McClory being a cuntbag essentially leading to legal turmoil for a long time and even Never Say Never Again existing during the Roger Moore years). i loved the Dalton stuff (the most under-rated and appreciated, his two films were so far ahead of the times and he got such a rough deal). The interviews with everyone are particularly great and if you are a Bond fan this is a great watch. it’s on the instant so i mean…why haven’t you added it yet?
